Get a Library Card

Anyone can use the library and its resources. During library opening hours, you may come in and read, listen to music, access your e-mail, and search the library's online magazines and newspapers.

If you become a library member, however, your library card means you can borrow books, magazines, videos, DVDs, CDs, and audio books from Brooks Public Library. You may request items from another library in the Shortgrass System and from Public and University Libraries throughout Alberta. A resident library card also gives you access to the library's many online resources from home. For library members living in Brooks who are homebound, the library coordinates a free volunteer delivery service.

Are you interested in getting your own Brooks Public Library card? Library cards can be purchased by visiting Brooks Public Library in-person. Please note that identification with a current address is required. Library cards are available for children, teens, and adults. Payment for cards can be made either with cash, personal cheque, debit card, VISA, Mastercard, or Discover card.
